I am spending a lot of time at my home on the North Norfolk coast and this body of work has all been produced in response to that environment during 2011. The paintings reflect the North Sea in all its moods, colours tones and shapes. They represent a greater inclination towards the expressive depths of the purely abstract than has appeared in my work for quite a time.
These forty paintings, examples from a larger body of work in the same vein, are all painted on canvas or on cartridge paper using a mixture of acrylic, oils and house-paint emulsion.
